FAQ

What does the building look like after the renovation? Because this was an historic renovation project, The Patrick Henry’s celebrated past became our blueprint for recreating the building as it was in it’s heyday. As many original architectural elements and details as possible were refurbished and brought back to their original glory, both inside and out. The beautifully renovated brick and limestone façade is now, once again, admired by downtown visitors.

What is the building’s purpose?

The Patrick Henry is a mixed use building, with both residential and commercial components. There is a variety of floor plan options for apartment living, and commercial opportunities range from upscale restaurant and retail, to Class A professional office space. Some of the common spaces that long-time Roanokers remember, such as the Ballroom, have been restored to their original grandeur and are made available for public use.

What about parking?

In addition to existing street parking, there is daily and monthly parking available in the Patrick Henry Parking Lot and Garage directly next door.

Are there residential units for sale?

Historic tax credit specifications preclude that no residences can be available for purchase. In this economic climate, those tax credits are necessary to make the project viable. Besides, for reasons we’ve already stated, we believe that an apartment building is beneficial for the kind of vibrant new energy that is currently boosting the downtown area.

Are there be opportunities to hold special events at The Patrick Henry?

Absolutely! The Patrick Henry’s heritage is told through stories of weddings, anniversaries, club and business lunches, and many other special occasions. Great pride has been taken in making spaces available for these traditions to continue. The South Lobby as well as The Ballroom are available for special events.

What are the apartments like?

The Patrick Henry features Studio, 1br/1ba and 2br/2ba floor plan options from 393-939 sq. ft. Residents can expect the most up-to-date appliances and fixtures, and all the finest amenities– from granite counter tops to high quality cabinetry. Of course, the interior details reflect the unique architectural history of The Patrick Henry. Apartments are non-smoking only.

What are the office spaces like?

The Patrick Henry offers some of the most distinctive and well-appointed commercial spaces in the state of Virginia, with options from 3,000 to 12,000 sq. ft. There is a diverse mix of professional companies that is part of this landmark revitalization in Roanoke.

What is the pet policy of The Patrick Henry?
